Android gmail not updating inbox
Especially after the Inbox app from Google, email management has become remarkably easy. They are not being notified about the new email messages.
The problem I am noticing is that I'm only notified for a new email if it is sent to my Inbox folder. This hasn't been improved much in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. You go to email client and select sub-folders from the menu. As Nuronv states, in Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the sub folders are synchronized.
Sometimes it happens that the setting is changed by mistake due to the touch screen.
Users which have multiple accounts configured on their Android devices have reported Gmail sync email not working problem a lot because when they change one settings in their one email account, that setting get updated across other accounts as well. Tap the hamburger icon from the top left corner of the app and you will see a list of options. You will find this option by scrolling down the list. After syncing it, you will start getting the email notifications as soon as you receive the new messages.
Both threads also help members stay updated on any related news from Gmail and Outlook on official solutions.
